An inspirational road-map on personal development, leadership and much more, Waveman is the true story of the enormous possibilities that open up when you follow your own path.
Waveman is the direct English translation of the Japanese word Ronin. Ronin were Samurai who had no master. They were on their own; no masters and no permanent means of support. They wandered from place to place teaching self-defence where they could and hiring themselves out for dangerous jobs whenever they had the opportunity. Literally translated it means waveman. A soldier tossed about, as by the waves of the sea.
Since 1994 Rob Redenbach has been providing world-class development sessions for elite security professionals as well as business leaders from a diverse range of industries. His autobiography, Waveman has received critical acclaim and his new release, Self-Defence in 30 Seconds! teaches how to empower your body with your most powerful weapon – your mind!
Listed by BRW as one of the country's top professional speakers, Rob blends humour, experience and hard facts to demonstrate the extreme importance of initiative and action. For client feedback click here.
Robert Redenbach spent six years in the Australian Defence Force before pursuing a career in the security industry. He has travelled extensively and between 1994 and 1998 he lived in South Africa where he was a senior defensive tactics instructor of Nelson Mandela's Presidential Protection Unit. He has taught his own system of self-defence to some of the world's most respected agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and during the build-up to the Sydney Olympic Games he taught conflict resolution techniques to instructors from the Australian Federal Police and the Australian SAS. Still involved in the security industry on a select basis, his field experience includes a three month assignment in Iraq (2005), where he provided armed protection to volunteers from not-for-profit organisations involved in writing the new Iraqi Constitution.
As an author, speaker and publisher who has "significantly contributed to Queensland's growth and development" Rob was included in the 2007 inaugural edition of Who’s Who in Queensland (Foreword by Premier Peter Beattie MP, Minister for Trade). A recipient of the Australian Service Medal, Rob lives with his family on the Gold Coast.
